More than Coffee Project #1: Colombia - Copper Condor
We are over the moon excited to present to you our first More than Coffee Project and on Friday the 13th, because there are more than just spooky things happening on this infamous day.
Project #1 Goal: Raise funds to purchase the raw materials necessary to build a classroom for the Fresna Village in Colombia.
At Breck Coffee Roasters we strive to be both responsible and thoughtful in our approach to coffee. As we want to show our gratitude and respect for the communities that allow us to function as a business in the Rockies, we are re-investing a portion of our “More Than” proceeds back into the farming communities.
With the sales of our 300 limited edition Copper Condor bags, every purchase will be contributed towards providing the raw materials needed to build an additional classroom in the local school of the Fresna Village. Their current structure only allows for schooling up until the 5th grade. With the addition of space created by the new classroom, children of our coffee farming families will be able to extend their schooling to the 8th grade.
